This video is one especially for the men and something that I felt was extremely important after I was asked a disturbing question by some women regarding social dancing, both for salsa dancing and bachata dancing. Women have asked me how to avoid men getting the wrong signals, or the wrong idea from them when dancing, but in my opinion it is much more important for the men to learn how to read the women on the dance floor, so that a dance can be built on respect and that both parties feel comfortable and enjoy the dance.
Of course, like anything, this is a two way conversation. I believe it is very important for men to be aware of this, but there are also things that women can benefit from learning too, and I will create a dedicated video for the women. For now, this video is a social dancing tips video for the men, to help them read the girls when dancing salsa and bachata, or indeed any social dance.
